All good things come to an end
Wow, what a rollercoaster of a few weeks!
For those of you who don’t yet know, the week before last I had to reluctantly shut the doors for the final time on my much-loved little cafe creation – Baked Salt at The Loughborough Cafe.
The building had been sold and alas, I can’t stay on…
Heart, soul & flour
I’ve completely poured myself – heart, soul and flour! – into this elegant corner of SW9 over the past 18 months and so was prepared for the sadness as I packed up all my kit and caboodle.
What I wasn’t prepared for however, was the phenomenal support that has come from my regulars and other locals!
It’s been overwhelming and heart-warmingly wonderful to be on the receiving end of such kindness and warmth.
I’ve been so lucky to be welcomed into this close-knit community and to meet so many new like-minded foodie friends.
And – as promised – I’ll be keeping in touch with everyone who has joined my mailing list with news on what’s next for Baked Salt…
Onwards & upwards
There are so many things I’m looking forward to exploring now that I’m a free spirit.
First and foremost I can spend more time on my private catering business again – cooking for others’ special occasions is something I’ll never get bored of!
Plus, I’m already on the lookout for local venues and potential collaborators for some exciting Baked Salt pop-up opportunities… and who knows, maybe even the perfect café location will re-appear to me.
But most importantly, for right now, I’m looking forward to some good old-fashioned wintery rest and hibernation – to do what we all need to do at this time of year: recharge, re-group and re-energise, ready for new exciting things in 2017.
So, thank you all for the continued support. It really is so appreciated, and I look forward to sharing my new plans and news as it happens.
